AZ Kidz Experience Honors Board Member John Nault: The Heart of the Bouse Off-Road Jamboree

BOUSE, AZAZ Kidz Experience is proud to shine a spotlight on one of its most dedicated leaders, Board Member John Nault. As the owner of the Ocotillo Lodge in Bouse, Arizona, John has become a cornerstone of the organization, providing the logistical foundation and local leadership necessary to host the annual AZ Kidz Bouse Off-Road Jamboree.

Since joining the board, John has been a driving force behind the scenes. His deep roots in the Bouse community and his passion for the off-road lifestyle have allowed AZ Kidz Experience to transform the Bouse Community Park into a premier destination for off-road enthusiasts every January.

"John is more than just a board member; he is the engine that keeps our Bouse operations running," said Shannon Monahan, Vice President of AZ Kidz Experience. "From the legwork required to secure our venue to his tireless advocacy for the children we serve, John’s dedication is unmatched. We simply could not put on an event of this scale without his leadership and the support of the Ocotillo Lodge."

John’s influence extends far beyond logistics. His "heart bigger than a UTV" is felt by every volunteer and attendee. His ability to bridge the gap between local residents and the visiting off-road community has ensured that the Jamboree remains a welcomed, high-impact event for the town of Bouse and a major win for Phoenix Children’s.

When he isn’t coordinating event details or attending board meetings, John can be found at the Ocotillo Lodge, a favorite hub for off-roaders traveling through the Arizona desert.

The Story: "The Man Behind the Park"

In the off-road world, we talk a lot about "horsepower" and "clearance," but at AZ Kidz Experience, we talk about John Nault.

If you’ve ever enjoyed the dust, the community, and the camaraderie of the Bouse Off-Road Jamboree at the Bouse Community Park, you’ve experienced John’s handiwork. As the owner of the Ocotillo Lodge, John is a fixture of the Bouse landscape, but as a board member, he is our organization’s most valuable navigator.

John doesn't just show up for the meetings; he does the "legwork" that most people never see. Whether it’s coordinating with local officials, prepping the park, or leveraging his deep ties to the off-road community to bring in new supporters, John is always working.

"John has a way of making the impossible look easy," says Shannon Monahan. "He understands that these events aren't just about trail rides—they are about life-saving support for kids. He puts his heart into every detail because he knows exactly what’s at stake."

John Nault represents the best of the Arizona off-road community: rugged, reliable, and incredibly generous. He is the reason we have a "home" in Bouse, and his passion ensures that the future of AZ Kidz Experience is as bright as an Arizona sunset.
